Privacy notice
Your information,
handled with care.
How we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit this website or get in touch with us.Who we are
Designed Living Group Limited (“DLG”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 12682016, and our registered office is at 14 Victoria Square, Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire, WR9 8DS.
If you have any question about this notice or how we handle your information, email info@designedlivinggroup.com or call +44 (0) 7730 283 587.
What we collect and why
Enquiries through the website. The investor enquiry form asks for your name, email address, an optional indicative investment range and your message. We use this to respond to you, to understand whether a partnership might be a good fit and to keep a record of our conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where a partnership is being considered, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
Contact by email, phone or WhatsApp. If you email, call or message us we hold whatever you choose to share so that we can reply and keep track of our discussions. WhatsApp is provided by Meta, and messages sent through it are also subject to Meta’s own privacy policy.
Scheduling a call. If you book a conversation through the Calendly link on our investor page, Calendly collects the details you enter under its own privacy policy and shares the booking with us.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and timestamps. This is used to keep the site secure, diagnose faults and measure performance. It is not used to build a profile of you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website.
Invited reviewers. Before major updates we sometimes invite clients and collaborators to review the site. If you sign in as a reviewer, a session cookie keeps you signed in, and the comments you leave, together with the name you enter, are stored in our project tracker.
Later checks. If a partnership or landlord arrangement proceeds, we may need further information from you, for example to verify your identity or to meet anti-money-laundering obligations. We will explain what we need and why at that point.
We only ask for what we need to respond to you, and we do not buy, sell or trade personal information.
Marketing
We do not send newsletters or marketing emails. We will only contact you about your enquiry or an arrangement you are discussing with us, unless you ask us to keep in touch about future opportunities. You can change your mind at any time by emailing us.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Vercel hosts the website and processes the technical information described above.
- Resend delivers enquiry-form messages to our inbox. The sending service is operated for us by Cloud Villa, the studio that builds and maintains this website.
- Our email provider stores the enquiries and correspondence we receive.
- GitHub and Cloudflare store reviewer comments, and any screenshots attached to them, during private review periods.
- Calendly and WhatsApp, as described above, if you choose to use them.
We may also share information with professional advisers, such as solicitors and accountants, where that is needed to progress an arrangement, and with authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations, including the UK–US data bridge, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner, so that your information remains protected.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and related correspondence for up to two years after our last contact, so that we can pick up the conversation if you return. If an arrangement proceeds, we keep the records for the duration of the relationship and for six years afterwards, which is the period in which legal claims can usually be brought. Technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period only.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not load third-party scripts that follow you across other sites. That is why there is no cookie banner: nothing is set that needs your consent.
- Invited reviewers receive a strictly necessary session cookie when they sign in. It expires automatically.
- If you close the WhatsApp button, your browser remembers that choice for the rest of your visit using session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
If we add measurement tools in future we will update this notice first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- provide information you gave us in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@designedlivinggroup.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, though we would welcome the chance to resolve any concern with you first.
Children
This website is aimed at property owners, investors and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if our practices change and show the date of the latest version below. Please also read our website terms.
