The HMO strategy focuses on achieving strong rental yield by creating multiple rooms within one property and renting them on separate agreements. The right property and area are fundamental to making the model work.
DLG considers transport links, employment, local amenities, room demand, licensing and the existing building before committing to a scheme.

At Lodge Road, the plan created six en-suite rooms alongside kitchen and living space. The aim was not simply to add bedrooms, but to create a home that professionals would actively choose.
